Wow! What a sequel! I loved Lynn Red's first book, but I'm happy to say I enjoyed this one just as much (maybe even a little more) - a rare thing with books.Lily and Damon's story heats up in all sorts of unexpected ways in this fine followup to Change Into Me. There's a murder mystery, an awesome cast of powerful characters that broadens Red's unique world, and A LOT of passionate romance. The book is still firmly in New Adult/Coming of Age territory, but it's interesting to see both Damon and Lily maturing through their trials.
A rich Western atmosphere rounds out the paranormal elements of this book. Lynn Red once again succeeds at giving us supporting characters and strange, fascinating little towns that are menacing without being campy. Scagg's Valley, Damon's old hometown, is a small shifter world unto itself, and a new battleground for the hero and heroine's love.
Best of all, Red's lovely style keeps the pages turning with well balanced action, wit, and some really steamy romance. Damon and Lily overcome their latest tests, but every obstacle only seems to amplify the beautiful emotional and sensual tension rippling through them. These characters love each other deeply, even when the outside world threatens to tear them apart.
As with the best shifter romance stories, the wolves are legendary beasts, but the way they handle love is totally human. Can't wait for more sexy, strong shifters by Ms. Red!

It starts out a little slow but then it's a book that you can not put down! This is the first of Lynn Red's novels I've ever read and I plan on getting the rest of her books. If you like anything about shape shifters, read this book. if you love romance, read this book. If you love suspense, intrigue, and action, definitely read this book!
Lynn Red is a new favorite author of mine. The first book was compelling enough that I couldn't put it down. This one surpassed the first, which really surprised me, because I had no idea a book could be better! I read some of her books as Anya Karin, and I must say, I like these just as much. I will be a fan for a long time to come. Please keep writing Miss Red! Your books will be read by me over and over!
I read the first book in this series by accident. I had bought a Fated Mates "Alpha Shifter Box set" for 99 cents and I loved it so much I didn't even finish the rest of the set. As soon as I saw there was a second book, I bought it. I'm glad I did. I was not disappointed, I love this book. It was a good combination of Romance and Action to keep the reader hooked. We get to see Damon getting more confident in his role as Alpha and Lilly becoming a stronger person. Love this sexy hot couple and watching them continue to grow into thier destiny's. Can't wait to read the next installment in this series. Would definitely recommend this book.

The book centers around a couple named Damon and Lily. They head back to Damon's hometown to solve some murders that happened. Damon has to deal with hostility from the community because he has been announced as there new alpha though he has been gone for years. The other significant characters in this include Damon's best friend Hunter, local shaman Wilton, and of course the bad guy/girl, I let you decide who they are.
When the boom started I felt like I was dumped into the middle of a book no start just bam here's the story. The book started and stayed slow, I hoped that once the action started the book would move but it never did it just stayed slow. Also there was a lot of back story included within the story which was slightly confusing. The story itself was very good but despite how slow the book moved it felt like it was missing components that could have made it all the better.
Good story but missing the key components to take it over the edge.
I got this book on sale here at , but I totally would pay full price for it! I'm doing the happy dance over here because I have found a new author to put on my favorite author 'must-buy' list.
This book is even better than the first and since I gave that one 5 stars I'm having a bit of a dilemma. Do I go back and give the first story 4 stars as I think this one is better, but I don't want to penalize the author for writing a better book . . . oh what to do?!?
I seriously can't wait to read the next book in the series. Lynn Red writes with eloquence and originality, 2 qualities difficult to come by now-a-days. It almost killed me having to put this book down occasionally to go on needed errands today. *sigh*

Loved this one. But, be warned, you really need to read CHANGE FOR ME, the first in this new series, before this one. Oh, you can read it alone, but it will mean more with the background in book one. I am not into the teen angst books and, at first, was really afraid this was going to go in that direction. But, no, not so much. Our h/H (Lily & Damon) go to a very small town where the new Alpha is charged with solving the murders of two of his pack. He is challenged by the pack because he isn't "pure", she is challenged for being human (more on that in a bit). But, tests given, tests passed--and it turns out SHE is not quite so human. Then of course, murder and mayhem ensue! Fun to read. The paranormal is very important to character development and romance in this one. It's a couple brought together by chemistry (me werewolf, you mate) who, in learning about each other, grow into deeper (read "more real") love. The chapters are his view/her view which, I was afraid, would detract, but the author is smart. Chapters don't reprise the plot, simply continue it. Interesting. Read it, most likely you'll like it. I sure did.
