Set In Stone The Life Death Of Medusa eBook RC Berry

A beautifully retold story of Medusa. I admit that I've had a mini-obsession with the Medusa story for years ever since I read of how she was once considered a beauty to rival Aphrodite. Obviously this author has read something similar but has created a amazing new story from the thin clues.
Even though this story deals with ancient mortals and Greek gods there is so much to relate to. The story is beautifully crafted and the characters are almost touchable. I loved this book. More please. I know there are another two with the Medusa theme but this author has such a feeling for the Greek mythology I could just go on reading each of the old stories being made new and fresh.
I'm putting R.C. Berry in my list of authors to look out for.

Set In Stone The Life Death Of Medusa eBook RC Berry Reviews

Are you a fan of the Greek Mythology ? Love reading the tales of the Greek Gods and Goddesses ? What mischief they get up to at Mount Olympus ?
Set in Stone is the perfect tale for anyone that has ever wondered about Medusa , daughter of a human and a god - the daughter of Eurynoma and Posiedon. Medusa , grew up on earth and experienced all the ways of living like a human but due to growing up being a demi-god - Medusa had the gift of beauty. As she grew older, her beauty became more and more defined. On one occasion , Medusa is invited back to Mount Olympus with her goddess cousins as a teenage girl - it is here that her beauty is discovered by those around her including Aphrodite. As the novel goes along, we read as Aphrodite and Medusa become involved and the tale tends to spin the way of becoming an lesbian tale of love. Feeling hurt , Medusa returns back to Earth and the novel fast-tracks to when she is a women and even stunning than before - she returns to Olympus and it is here that she rekindles her spark with Aphrodite. However, Athena is not impressed with Aphrodite's infatuation with Medusa and from then on it is all downhill for Medusa as she becomes cursed due to her beautiful looks and unfortunately, this is one novel that the sayings "Beauty is a Killer" and "If Looks Could Kill" ring true as we all know how Medusa ended up with a head full of snakes and anyone who looked into her eyes became a statue of granite.
A fun and fantastic tale of what life for Medusa may have been like.
Set in Stone is the perfect read for anyone interested in reading fictional based Greek Mythology novels.
Cannot read this book because although pages are numbered, NO print shows up!!! How can this situation be remedied? This has not ever happened on my before!
Just not really my style. It warns that it has wandered from the myth, but it doesn't warn that it has wandered into the are of soft porn.
Really liked this book. Easy read and kept me reading.
This book keeps you to not put it down. Jealousy is a cruel thing. Medusa was betrayed in more ways than one. Very good read.
Just fantastic. I love how the author brought Medusa to life and told her story-how Pegasus came from her (which is a tiny but marvelous part)-I just can't wait for the next part. Light but packs a punch that you will relish-full of surprises and easy intrigue-a breath of fresh air for current and old stories.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Set in Stone. Medusa has always been portrayed as a hideous monster, with no past and no personality. The author creates a back story that is wonderful. You get extremely attached to the character and can't help but be outraged by all the injustices she goes through. The book is well written, with lots of character depth, not only with Medusa but with several of the Greek Gods and Heros we all know and love (or hate!). There are several fairly sensual love scenes which are well written.
Overall a very enjoyable book. I have already ordered the second in the series!
